Questions About the Trails?
Find answers about visiting Čoftogglobal's cranberry bog boardwalks, accessibility, and what to expect
Yes. The boardwalks are specifically designed for comfortable access across varying terrain. They're flat, well-maintained, and have regular rest benches spaced throughout. We recommend wearing sturdy, non-slip footwear and checking our accessibility guide before your visit to find the route that matches your comfort level.
Most walks take between 1.5 to 3 hours depending on which trail you choose and your pace. We have shorter loops if you'd prefer a gentler outing, and longer routes if you want a fuller experience. You set the rhythm—there's no rush.
Each season offers something different. Spring brings nesting birds and fresh growth; summer offers full wildlife activity and comfortable weather; autumn delivers striking colors and clearer air; winter transforms the bog into a quiet, frost-covered landscape. Our seasonal guide covers what you'll see at different times of year and helps you plan accordingly.
You can walk independently, but guided walks are available and give you real insight into bog ecology and the plants and animals you're seeing. If you prefer to explore at your own pace, our trail guides and route notes have everything you need to navigate safely.
Wear waterproof, non-slip shoes with good grip—the boardwalk can be slippery when wet. Layer your clothing since bog areas can be cool and damp. Bring water, a hat for sun or rain, and consider insect repellent in warmer months. Check our planning guide for a full packing checklist.
